1 Day Mokoro Safari

The non-participatory mokoro safari takes you to the tip of the Delta where you will witness a combination of aquatic wildlife, amazing bird species, and breath taking landscapes, tranquil sunrise and sunsets, and amazing star gazing, all in all summed up in one word: unforgettable! We will visit the Eastern delta in a community controlled wilderness area. We work with some of the most experienced Polers who have mastered the channels as well as being astute in coexisting with aquatic wildlife.

We will break for lunch and stretch our legs in one of the islands, a nice short treat.       

It is truly a great soothing experience. Besides being very close the Delta’s tranquility, you will get to learn a lot about this amazing ecosystem called the Okavango Delta. We will set up lunch picnic on an island to enjoy breathtaking views. After such a once in a life time experience, you will head back to the Mokoro station where your engine powered boat will pick you up for a trip to Audi camp to arrive before sunset. Alternatively, you will be picked up by a car if the water levels are too low to use the boat from Mokoro station to Audi Camp.

1. Xaa Safaris (Pty) Ltd shall guarantee the availability of the trip upon receipt of deposit. A deposit of 50% needs to be paid as soon as possible to reserve the booking.
2. Cancellation of the SAFARI, ACCOMMODATION or EXCURSIONS is to be in writing and is only effective on receipt of such notification. Refunds will be paid as per the schedule below.
3. Cancellation more than 60 days before departure, the 20% deposit is forfeited any other monies paid are refunded to the client (less bank charges).
4. Cancellation more than 31 days before departure 50% of the full fee may be refunded to the client (less bank charges),
5. Cancellation more than 15 days before departure 25% of the full fee may be refunded to the client (less bank charges),
6. Cancellation within 14 days before departure – 100% of fees will be payable with no refund.
7. Note that Travel Insurance is mandatory when booking your safari, your travel insurance should cover any of the costs incurred above should the cancellation be for a valid medical or emergency reason.
